General Information

Participation Fees

The COVID-19 virus emergency forced a shut down of the Ettore Majorana Foundation & Center for Scientific Culture (EMFCSC) with the consequent cancellation of all the workshops scheduled for the 2020. This has determined a great economical loss for the Foundation. The EMFCSC is a non-profit foundation BUT cannot go into economic liabilities. For this reason, the President Antonino Zichichi, in agreement with the Administrative board, has decided to increase the contribution fee of participants as follows:
  • 750€/each for Postdoc and Faculty Members

  • 550€/each for PhD Students

  • 450€/each for Undergraduate and Master Students

It was decided to maintain the students’ fees as low as possible (only 50 Euros in addition to the previous fees) to encourage their participation.

We apologize for this changes but we wish to remember that this is an ALL INCLUSIVE contribution fee that includes transportation, lodging, meals and excursion. In fact, if you compare the fees of conferences or international workshops in which the registration fee includes only coffee breaks and, at best, the final dinner you can realize that this is still an attractive low cost registration fee.

Posters and Oral Presentations

Every participant should send a short CV and is welcome to submit a title and 250-word abstract for a poster. We will try to accommodate as many posters as we can, rotating them if necessary. Those who wish to give an oral presentation (12 min + 3 min discussion) should indicate it on the registration form; on this regard, a selection will be made, as there will be only 6-8 available slots for such presentations. Poster should be a maximum of 100 cm high and 60 cm wide. Consider to arrange materials in columns rather than rows - this format is easier for viewers to read.

Abstract Preparation

An abstract must be submitted for each type of presentation (poster or oral), the maximum length of this abstract is 250 words. For the editorial procedure we can handle only files saved in Microsoft Word format (.doc suffix). Please name the abstract file after the presenter's surname (eg. Smith.doc). The characters should be Times New Roman, size 12, spacing 1, fully justified. The title of the abstract should be in capital letters and bold style. Name of the authors (Family name, Abbreviations of First and Middle names) should follow on a separate line not in capital and not in bold style. Put reminds (asterisks, or other symbols) after the authors' names to distinguish different institutions. First name should correspond to presenter. On a separate line put the affiliation of the investigators (this should be in italic style) including the name of the institution, the city, the country. On a separate line put the e-mail address of the presenter. The text of the abstract will follow after spacing.
