Joaquin Vicente Baños, PhD in Veterinary Sciences from University of Murcia. He works as a senior researcher at IREC (National Institute on Wildlife Research-UCLM, Spain). Joaquin Vicente works in the field of wildlife ecology, management, epidemiology and disease control especially focusing on human-wildlife-livestock interface under the One Health Approach. He has recently coordinated 2 European projects, ENETWILD, www.enetwild.com and MammalNet (www.mammalnet.com), These projects aim at improving population monitoring at international level, which is the basis for further risks assessment, analysis of determinants of disease emergence at multipleinterfaces and early detection, and finally, development and application of policies (e.g.,African Swine Fever in Europe).
