Participation fees

  • 450€/each for Postdoc and Faculty Members

  • 300€/each for PhD and Undergraduate Students

Contribution is ALL-INCLUSIVE and covers registration to the workshop, lodging, meals (participants will receive vouchers to eat in local restaurants), coffee breaks and transport to and from the airport (Trapani or Palermo). Students will be kindly requested to share their room.

SIE support for Students

The Italian Society for Ethology (SIE) provides a number of travel grants for PhD and master students who have registered for the workshop. The maximum amount for each candidate is 200€ for accountable expenses (registration, travel).

To apply to the selection the candidate must send an e-mail to sie.etologia@gmail.com including:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • A motivational letter (1 page max) explaining the expected benefits for attending the workshop.
  • Whether or not the candidate will present a poster or has applied for a short communication.

Posters and Oral Presentations

Every participant should send a short CV and is welcome to submit a title and 300-word abstract for a poster or an oral presentation (10 min). On this regard, a selection will be made as there will be a limited number of available slots for such presentations.

Short Talks Proposal Submission

To propose a short talk please upload a 300 word abstract during the registration procedure. For editorial reasons, we can handle only files saved in Microsoft Word format (.doc). Please name the abstract file after the presenter's surname (eg. Smith.doc ). The character type should be Calibri, size 12, spacing 1, fully justified. The title of the abstract should be in capital letters and bold style. Name of the authors (Family name, Abbreviations of First and Middle names) should follow on a separate line, neither in capital nor in bold style. First name should correspond to presenter. Put reminds (asterisks, or other symbols) after the authors' names to label different institutions. On a separate line put the affiliation of the investigators (this should be in italic style) including the name of the institution, the city, and the country. On a separate line put the e-mail address of the presenter. The text of the abstract will follow after one line spacing.
