Massimo Scandura
Evolution in the city: a molecular ecology perspective

Massimo Scandura, PhD in Biology, is associate professor at the University of Sassari, Italy. His research activity is focused on genetic and genomic applications in wildlife conservation and management. Main fields of interest include population genetics and phylogeography, non-invasive genetic monitoring, anthropogenic hybridization, and social and mating systems in wild mammals. He is currently engaged in national and international projects concerning animal biodiversity and wildlife monitoring in relation to anthropogenic stressors, climate change and the potential spread of diseases.
